HOW TO HELP

Our Fundraising Efforts

  Our primary fund raising comes from Friends' Fancy Gift Shop, which opened in 1995, It also is staffed with volunteers who sell small gifts, greeting cards, coffee, snacks and bottled water.   The FOBCL Membership has been growing every year. Many benefits come from membership. Most importantly, all members receive our award-winning monthly newsletter.  Recycling Books, Our volunteers work with donated books from the public. Some of these books come from outside donations and those have been removed from our catalog. These books are presented to the public in the Friends Book Nook at the library in exchange for a donation to the Friends. (Right next to the elevator.)  The Friends also has also a successful book recycling program called BOOK THRIFT where usable books of all kinds are sent to a reseller – recycled books are great.

All cash donations are eligible for a full tax exemption. You are also invited to donate.
